OffsetCarbonFootprint.org Mission Statement and Purpose
OffsetCarbonFootprint.org (OCF) is an ethical non profit organization dedicated to becoming an authoritative library, providing access to scientific information about the creation, distribution and impact of greenhouse gases, free and easy to the public.
OCF was created to answer the need to have a central and authoritative sources containing information about greenhouse gases and how they impact the environment.
OCF will actively search for information from State, Provincial and Federal Government Departments as well as recognized research institutions for additional information. OCF will allow easy access to this information by allowing the public to search for information by keyword, source and date. OCF will become a recognized library for greenhouse gas, and global warming information. OCF will have the ability for individuals and corporations determine what their amount of greenhouse emissions are. In addition OCF will offer specific action plans that individuals and corporations can take, to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
The costs to initiate this project are considerable. However, considering the value and sheer amount of information that will be made available to the public, the costs will be well worth it! OCF will use the efficiencies inherent in the World Wide Web so that access will be easy. OCF will not charge anyone to access it's library. Our goal is to make the information easy to access with no financial barriers to any member of society. It is our intention that OCF will become a world leader in obtaining, storing and disseminating information, as it relates to greenhouse gasses and Global Warming, thereby helping to empower it's users.
In order to finance these costs, we will be offering the public the ability to contribute towards Carbon Storage and Mitigation projects. We will offer significant and internationally regulated projects offering low cost carbon credits. By contributing to OCF.org, it's contributors will receive Certificates of Performance, showing the amount of tonnes of Carbon Offsets, they have offset. Their actions, will have relatively very little cost, but will significantly improve the environment.

We at OffsetCarbonFootprint.org are a non profit organization dedicated to the fight against Global Warming. We find the most effective ways to practically remove Green Houses gases from the atmosphere. Currently there no practical or as cost effective ways to remove these gases, other than the method nature has been using for millions of years. We plant hundreds of thousands of trees that will in a short time sequester hundreds of thousands of tonnes of Carbon. We also want to make it clear that it doesn't take much money to make a direct impact on Global Warming. Our goal is to provide the low cost remover of Carbon. How do we do that. We are not driven by the profit motive, just the motive to improve the planet. Nor do we exaggerate the size of your Carbon Footprint. We believe in the truth, ethical practices and transparency. To this end, we use the EPA standard scientific calculator. When we say $25.00 can make a difference we mean it!
